Magazine Genre Research: Design

Welcome back!

So today I'm going to be picking out three types of genres that interests me during the process of creating my own magazines. Have many ideas for what I want to do with my blog so let's get started!

Cooking Magazines

The magazine page cover usually has food. They make the food look highly appealing for it to attract their audience.
The masthead will usually have bright and bold color like pink, red and yellow. and catching the audience attention they would use different fronts compared to other magazines.
Most of the time the masthead color would match with the cover lines and the main image.
They usually have the company name for you to go check out their websites if you're interested in magazines. Allowing their audience to access their online recipes or just to give feedback.

Art Magazines

At the top of the cover is a bold elegant masthead
In the page cover you would see artistic diversity with range of artistic styles like sculpture, photography and digital art.
They would have magazines logos by the upcoming artist for the audience to recognize.

Fashion Magazines

the Mastheads are defined and sharp.
There are usually female models (man included to)
the models typically have serious or fierce expressions to make the magazine have a strong and powerful aura.
the magazine page usually has close up shots to highlight facial expression and what the models are wearing.
