Today I'm going to answer question: How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?

 Answer

 To begin, my magazine has presented different elements when using basic elements of creating a magazine such as a masthead, barcode, issue number and etc. While producing my drafts of my magazine I use. I got inspirations from different “Teen Lifestyle” magazine especially something that connect with makeup and beauty form “Girl’s Life” and “Teen Vouge” which led to my inspiration to my final magazine. 

Section 1: Cover Page

Masthead

The masthead gives purpose of creating which help tells a story for your magazine cover page. My title is “Tap/IN”, and the front type was “league Spartan” and size 105. After overview the magazine responses from my Survey called “Teen Lifestyle Magazine” from the results of pick a front they choose League Spartan. above the title I put the issue date and issue number.

Barcode

The barcode is there for display on a magazine to show series of parallel black and white bars that can be scan when buying things like magazine, grocery and etc. The reason why I put the barcode to give my magazine an authentic look for my audience to see how much my magazine cost to purchase it.

Cover Lines

The cover lines being part of the magazines help give the audience a briefly description on the magazine for example the way I use "Skincare Tips" to use persuasive techniques to help promote my magazine. I used the text box for like a pop-up message when you get on your phone, I want the text box to be as tech savvy since my doing a magazine. And I use "Have you ever felt insecure about your looks don't worry!" I used that as a hook starter to intrigued readers to ask themselves "yes, I do feel insecure about my look let me see if this book can help me with some of my problem." 

Sub-Images

The sub-images I used wanted to connect with the magazine like the lipstick and the makeup brush. The reason why I put those to items on the page cover. Was to add-on an aesthetic appeal shows the items being related to makeup and hygiene.   

Section 2: Table of Contents

Table of contents 

 

The table of content is to make readers view what going to be talk about in the magazine following the survey responses. which I used the "Yearbook Outline" font, and the font size is 86.5 the reason why it has a star, and a pick ground is to provide a young teen girl aesthetic I was trying to achieve with the star being it so bright just like being a teenager.

Headings & Description 

The table of contents is the gateway of the beginning your magazine and specially headings and description around your article. That why the numbers in the content help appointed you where to go to what section or page. The description gives you a sneak peek of what going on. For example, Makeup Tips and the number zero three I made them bold and large to show you what you show be focusing on. 

 

Section 3: Double Page Spread 

Title 

The title of double-spread page lets the readers know what going to happen in that section. The reason why I put "Hygiene" was to talk about self-care what did my interview do to keep her skin flawless by adding her morning and night routine. And I wanted the pink color scheme to match the table of content to give a bright and joyful aesthetic. Because this section is about Brittney hygiene methods and how she tells her audience what to do to get her skin routines. 

 

Body Paragraphs

The reason I added two double spread page was to add more information about Brittney asking her question about "who inspired you to do makeup" because the whole purpose of the double page spread is to provide information for the audience to help them with makeup and hygiene help them retain information to them with any skincare or hygiene routine to better help themselves be comfortable with their own image and body.

Images

When using the images I wanted to introduce the audience to Brittney to show them that she can relate to their problems. Of hygiene and makeup show people her interest and background for them to connect.
